Woodland has a new pizza shop. Pizza Factory at 353 W. Main St. opened at 11 a.m. Tuesday with a celebration that included a small-sized pizza giveaway to the first 50 customers.

The restaurant also planned to give away T-shirts and hold a raffle to win “free pizza for a year,” according to a spokesperson.

This marks Pizza Factory’s fifth location in the Sacramento area, with pizza shops in Rocklin, Loomis, Auburn and Cameron Park, according to its website.

The restaurant first started in 1979 in Oakhurst as Danny’s Red Devil Pizza. The family-owned business was rebranded Pizza Factory in 1985 and expanded in 2016. The chain currently has 116 locations spread across five states, including Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada and Washington.

Pizza Factory Woodland is open from Monday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
