When I first started hearing a rumbling about using body oil, I was skeptical. Why would I add oil to my body after showering? Wouldn’t that just make me all greasy? Nothing about that sounded fun or enjoyable. But I heard a lot of people raving about it, so I decided to give it a try with Saltair’s Body Oil.

I added a few pumps with my body lotion after my shower, and I was shocked at how nice my skin started to feel. It wasn’t greasy at all; instead, it was soft and super smooth. This one product has been making my skin feel so hydrated this winter, and honestly, it has made my shower routine feel like I’m at a spa. I don’t plan on stopping using it anytime soon. Here’s why you should add it to your routine, too.

Saltair Body Oil, $22

Amazon

Saltair’s body oil is super lightweight and made with natural and botanical ingredients that absorb easily into your skin and leave it feeling hydrated. It’s easy to layer or mix the oil with your moisturizer to really up the ante, which is especially important during these dry winter months. All of Saltair’s products are cruelty free, vegan, paraben free and gluten free, and the bottle makes the product look super expensive — even though it’s less than $25.

After I get out of the shower, I mix a few pumps of the oil with my La Roche Posay moisturizer, and it feels absolutely luxurious to apply. I then slip on my robe and let it absorb for a couple of minutes before getting dressed. My skin has never felt greasy after using this oil, and I’ve never had any of it get on my clothes. And most importantly, I’ve noticed throughout the day how much softer and more hydrated my skin feels.

I’ve been using the Golden Hour scent (which isn’t available on Amazon at the moment), but I’ve heard that the Santal Bloom scent is also great. I’ll also add that the scent is not overpowering at all. I’m really sensitive to smells and prefer not to use products with very strong scents, and I have absolutely no problem wearing this body oil.

And I’m not the only one who loves this product. With over 1,200 five-star ratings on Amazon, it’s clear that others have started to catch on about how great it is. One reviewer says, “I absolutely love this body oil! The texture is silky smooth. The scent is light and natural, making it perfect for daily use without being overpowering. After just a few uses, my skin feels deeply hydrated and has a healthy, radiant glow.” Another adds, “This is my favorite body oil that I have found. I’ve tried several brands, and this one is it. The price is great for such a high quality product.”

So, if you’re looking for an affordable entry into the body oil world, I highly suggest you add this one to your routine. It’ll add that bit of luxury we all need to make it through these dark days of winter. Your skin will look and feel great, and you’ll feel like you went to a spa, even if you didn’t leave your own bathroom.
