Pleasanton police urge residents to shelter-in-place over gas leak
PLEASANTON — Residents were urged to shelter-in-place due to a gas leak in the area, the Pleasanton Police Department said Saturday.
Officials said the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department was working on a gas leak in the area of 4300 Dorman Ct. shortly after 10:00 a.m. Saturday and directed residents within a one block radius to shelter-in-place until further notice.
The department issued the alert with a moderate severity, which is classified as a possible threat to life or property.
The alert was canceled around 10:50 a.m. The department said PG&E had sealed the gas leak and the area was safe for residents to return home.
