Temple Coffee Inc., roasters and purveyors of award-winning craft coffees, is adding a fourth Sacramento retail site at 22nd and K streets in midtown Sacramento.

Aaron Marchand, urban properties director for Turton Commercial Real Estate in Sacramento, said he expects the 2,500-square-foot coffee shop to open in a couple of months, nothing that “they’ve been doing quite a bit of construction in there.”

Temple is going into space once occupied by Strutz Jewelers. The family-owned jewelry business announced in December 2008 that it was closing its midtown store after operating at the site for more than 60 years.

Marchand said the new Temple site will offer baked goods, coffee and teas and will have outdoor seating.

Temple operates establishments at 1010 9th St., 2829 S St. (also site of its roasting operation) and at 2600 Fair Oaks Blvd., in the Arden Arcade area. In December, Temple was ranked twice among the country’s top 30 coffee rankings, as rated by the Berkeley-based Coffee Review.
