Make-A-Wish names Jennifer Granger to regional board
Jennifer Granger, wife of Sacramento Kings president Chris Granger, has been named to the Make-A-Wish Northeastern California and Northern Nevada board of directors.
Granger moved to the Sacramento area about a year ago when her husband joined the Kings’ operation. Jennifer Granger is also involved in the Kings Community Foundation, plus several other Sacramento-area charities.
“It is charities like Make-A-Wish that are making a life-changing difference in the area,” she said in a statement.
Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, in a statement accompanying the announcement, said Granger “has gracefully assimilated into the Sacramento community and has brought with her a refreshing sense of optimism. She has already made an impact in the community.”
Started in 1983, the Sacramento Make-A-Wish chapter serves a 37-county area, fullfilling “dream wishes” for seriously ill children. For details: necannv.wish.org.
