Golden 1 accepting scholarship applications through Jan. 31

Sacramento-based Golden 1 Credit Union is accepting applications for its program offering college scholarships to its members and their dependents.

The Golden 1 Credit Union Scholarship provides awards in three amounts: $1,000 to full-time students who plan to attend an accredited, nonprofit, two-year college in California, and up to $2,500 or $5,000 to full-time students who plan to attend an accredited, nonprofit, four-year college or university in California.

Applications will be accepted through Jan. 31.

Applications can be competed online at golden1.com/scholarships, where more information also can be obtained.

Since 2013, Golden 1 said it has invested more than $1.4 million in scholarship funds, awarding 136 scholarships over that time.
