Green Acres Nursery & Supply is expanding again, this time planning a store in Rocklin.

The regional nursery chain has submitted plans to city officials to build a store at the Rocklin Crossings shopping center, near I-80 and Sierra College Boulevard.

Karen Garner, Rocklin’s economic growth manager, said the store is likely to open early next year. It would cover 26,000 square feet inside and another 59,000 square feet outside.

The plans were submitted as Green Acres prepares for the grand opening of its Elk Grove store, set for March 21.

Green Acres also operates stores in Sacramento, Roseville and Folsom.
