Sacramento homeless women’s nonprofit receives $10,000 donation

Women’s Empowerment, the Sacramento nonprofit that helps homeless women find employment, has received a $10,000 donation from the Joseph & Vera Long Foundation in Walnut Creek.

Women’s Empowerment provides homeless women with job training and counseling on health, nutrition, parenting and family violence prevention.

Established in 1966, the Joseph & Vera Long Foundation is a private, family foundation that provides financial support to nonprofits in Northern California and Hawaii.
