Flamingo House promises craft cocktails, plenty of pink in midtown Sacramento
The Flamingo House Social Club, featuring plentiful mixed drinks and even a few plastic pink flamingos, is aiming for a summer opening in midtown Sacramento.
Touted as a bar and social club, Flamingo House is promising craft cocktails and an eclectic atmosphere at 2315 K St., site of a turn-of-the-20th-century home that previously has housed a restaurant, bakery and coffee house.
Co-owner Bobby Falcon said Thursday the establishment will have a “funky decor” but also feature an extensive motif of flowers and plants, stressing “serious leisure.” The other owners are Matt Byrd and Christian Tolen
The trio posted a promotional video on the club’s Facebook page and at flamingohousesac.com.
The Facebook page touts “an intermingling of midtown subculture and coastal leisure. Flamingo House provides a unique California-approach small-plates fare with exceptional cocktails.”
Various food items also will be served at the establishment, which currently is getting an exterior coating of fresh pink paint between rainstorms.
Falcon said Thursday the owners hope to open in mid-June, but the precise opening date will depend on the permitting process and completion of interior work.
“It’s a big dream, and we have a lot of hard work behind us. … Were not just doing it for us. We’re doing it for midtown.”
