San Francisco group files to build new Audi dealership in Rocklin

A San Francisco-based car-selling group is planning to build a new Audi dealership along Rocklin’s high-end auto row.

Karen Garner, director of economic development for the city of Rocklin, said Euromotors Auto Group has filed an application to build a nearly 34,000-square-foot sales, service and parts facility on 2.5 acres at the intersection of Granite and Warren drives, bordering Interstate 80.

Garner said the vacant site is on 4.6 acres owned by the now-closed Capital Nursery.

Rocklin’s Granite Drive auto row already includes Porsche and Land Rover dealerships run by the Sacramento-based Niello Co. and the Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin dealership overseen by Von Housen Automotive Group.

The Euromotors proposal will now go to the city’s planning commission. Barring objections or unexpected delays, Euromotors could obtain permits this summer and begin construction in late summer, with a possible opening in early 2016.
