Auburn to host April 9 small business tax seminar
A free tax seminar for small business owners and entrepreneurs will be held in Auburn next Thursday.
Representatives will be in attendance from the state Board of Equalization, Employment Development Department, Franchise Tax Board, Internal Revenue Service, Women’s Business Center and Sierra Small Business Development Center. Topics covered will include how to avoid common sales and use tax problems, tips for growing your business and recordkeeping.
The April 9 seminar is from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Auburn City Council chambers, 1225 Lincoln Way. Participants can register at (888) 847-9652 or online at www.boe.ca.gov . Parking is free.
