West Sacramento-based grocer Raley’s has announced the appointment of Julie Teel to its board of directors.

Teel, a member of the Raley’s founding family, has been involved numerous philanthropic efforts across California and Nevada.

She has served as a trustee for Loyola Marymount University, a board member of Northern California and Northern Nevada chapter of Make-A-Wish and on the board of the nonprofit Tahoe Fund.

Founded in 1935, Raley’s is a third-generation, family-owned company, operating more than 120 stores in Northern California and Nevada under four banners: Raley’s, Bel Air Markets, Nob Hill Foods and Food Source.
