American River Bank awards $110,000 to Northern California nonprofits
American River Bank, a subsidiary of Rancho Cordova-based American River Bankshares, announced this week that the American River Bank Foundation has awarded $110,000 to a dozen nonprofit organizations in Northern California.
Of the total, $70,000 was awarded to 10 organizations for a single-year funding commitment, and $40,000 was awarded among two organizations as final disbursement of a three-year commitment.
Also, $20,000, went to Courage Worldwide, a Rocklin-based organization that provides shelter and aid to victims of sex trafficking and child prostitution. Legal Aid of Sonoma County also received $20,000 as the last part of a three-year, $50,000 commitment.
Other recipients included Wellspring Women’s Center in Sacramento ($10,000), Roseville Home Start ($10,000) and the Sacramento-based Women’s Empowerment nonprofit ($10,000).
Since it was established in 2004, the ARB Foundation has donated $722,600 to 40 different organizations.
