Sacramento low-income seniors community to host open house

USA Properties Fund Inc. will host a pre-leasing open house Saturday for prospective tenants of its soon-to-be-completed, 60-unit apartment community for low-income seniors in southeast Sacramento.

The open house for the Arbor Creek Senior Apartments will be at the neighboring Arbor Creek Family Apartments, 8340 Elk Grove Florin Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event also will include refreshments, food, prizes and drawings.

The seniors community, developed by USA Properties, a Roseville-based developer of affordable housing, is expectedville-based developer of affordable housing, is expected to open by June 12.

Ground was broken last August on the $14.1 million project, a collaboration of the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency, USA Properties, Sacramento County, Riverside Charitable Corp. and U.S. Bank.

The 48 one-bedroom and 12 two-bedroom energy-efficient apartments are for seniors who earn 60 percent or less of Sacramento County’s median income. The site includes a 1,700-square-foot community center, fitness center and kitchen. Monthly rents start at $545 a month and range up to $730.
