Sacramento economic development group promotes exec Shari Little

Shari Little has been named chief performance officer of the Greater Sacramento Area Economic Council, the new economic development organization for the six-county region.

Little has been a top executive with the Greater Sacramento group and its predecessor, the Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization. Her promotion was announced Thursday by Barry Broome, president and CEO of the Greater Sacramento group.

In her new position, Little will oversee day-to-day operations for the organization, which was created by regional CEOs to attract and grow business development in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba counties.
