Stephen Curry puts his ‘starter mansion’ up for sale. Yours for $1.55M
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and his celebrity chef wife Ayesha Curry have put their home outside Charlotte up for sale.
They’re asking $1.55 million for it. Curry signed a contract extension worth $201 million last summer.
With the rise of his NBA star, Curry upgraded his digs. He now resides in Alamo, an affluent city about a 30-minute drive from where Curry plays, Oracle Arena in Oakland. He paid $5.775 million for the 1.56-acre spread with its 10,290-square-foot brick-accented traditional mansion, five bedrooms and seven full and three half bathrooms plus a poolside guest cottage set amid groomed gardens.
Variety magazine refers to the Charlotte home that is for sale as a “starter mansion.” The Currys listed their 7,650-square-foot home for $1.55 million late last week. They purchased that property for $1.28 million in May 2011.
The two-story brick home in North Carolina has four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and three half bathrooms in addition to a home theater, wine cellar, "man cave" and exercise room, according to Charlotte Business Journal.
Jacar Reality is listing the home at 307 Skyecroft Way.
