Costco is now opening 24 California warehouses, including three in the Sacramento area, at 9 a.m. instead of its usual 10 a.m. slot during the workweek.

The local stores affected are in north Sacramento (1600 Cal Expo Pkwy.), Folsom (1800 Cavitt Drive) and Roseville (6750 Stanford Ranch St.). Costcos in Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights and Woodland will all still open at 10 during the week, while the south Sacramento location already opened at 9.

The north Sacramento, Folsom and Roseville stores will all open at 9 a.m. on the weekends as well, a half-hour earlier than the other locations.

Costco has 519 warehouses nationwide, including 123 in California, and 230 abroad. The Washington-based bulk sale company's NASDAQ stock closed at $195.48 Tuesday, up 30 percent from July 2017.
