Free tax seminar in South Lake Tahoe aims to help small business operators
Business owners and entrepreneurs who want to start a business and learn how to comply with California’s tax laws are invited to attend a free small-business tax seminar Thursday in South Lake Tahoe.
The seminar is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. the South Lake Tahoe City Council chambers, 1901 Airport Road, Suite 206. Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m.
The event sponsors are California State Board of Equalization member George Runner; state Sen. Ted Gaines, R-Roseville; Assemblyman Frank Bigelow, R-O’Neals; the city of South Lake Tahoe; the Tahoe Chamber and the South Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce.
Seminar topics include tips for growing a business, avoiding sales/use tax problems and alternative financing/capital.
