CEO of Roseville’s USA Properties Fund honored by housing consortium

Geoff Brown, president and chief executive officer USA Properties Fund Inc. in Roseville, has been named a Housing Hall of Fame honoree by the Agoura Hills-based California Housing Consortium.

USA Properties is a developer of affordable housing. The consortium is an advocate for the production and preservation of affordable housing for low- and moderate-income Californians.

Under Brown’s leadership since 1997, USA Properties has added 10,000 affordable units for families and seniors in California. It also has adopted numerous green building designs and practices, including installation of solar-panel systems in projects statewide.

USA Properties oversees 85 affordable communities stretching from La Mesa in Southern California to the Sacramento region in Northern California.

Brown’s father, J.B. Brown, founded the company in Santa Monica in 1981 and later moved USA Properties to Roseville in 1993.
