Job fair Thursday in Sacramento draws more than 50 employers

Sacramento City Councilman Larry Carr, representing District 8, will co-host a career and job fair Thursday in Sacramento.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pannell Community Center, 2450 Meadowview Road.

It’s co-hosted by the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency and the state Employment Development Department.

Organizers said more than 50 companies and organizations will be on-site, including the U.S. Army National Guard, the California Highway Patrol, SolarCity, CarMax, Macy’s PRIDE Industries, UC Davis, the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department, Raley’s, Starbucks and Walmart.

Experts in job training and career resources will be on-site.
