Shaw’s Antiques in Nevada City closes; Witherell’s to auction contents

Susan Shaw, owner of Shaw’s Antiques in Nevada City, has closed the 81-year-old business and chosen Sacramento-based Witherell’s to auction its items.

The auction will be June 12 at the Gold Miners Inn at 121 Bank St., in Grass Valley. It will start at 10 a.m. and continue until all items are sold.

More than 500 lots will be auctioned on-site and online through Bidsquare.com.

Shaw’s Antiques, at 210 Main St., in Nevada City, will be open for previews from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.
