Cesca Therapeutics Inc., a Rancho Cordova-based medical device company, said Friday that board member Robin Stracey has been appointed CEO.
Stracey, 57, was appointed to the Cesca board in 2011 and has been serving as interim CEO since Oct. 29 last year, when the firm announced the departure of CEO Matthew Plavan.
Cesca said Stracey has previously served as president and CEO of several public and private companies and has more than 30 years of experience in the global life sciences industry.
In a statement, Craig Moore, chairman of Cesca’s board, said Stracey “has guided Cesca through several challenges” over the past seven months.
