Citrus Heights city offices will move to the Grand Oaks shopping center on Auburn Boulevard next month as construction gets underway for a new City Hall and medical office building.
Effective July 13, city offices, currently located at Greenback Lane and Fountain Square Drive, will be housed at 7927 Auburn Blvd.
The City Council in March approved construction of a new City Hall at Fountain Square Drive and Stock Ranch Road, down the street from the current civic center. All the existing civic center buildings, except the Police Department, will be demolished to make way for a three-story medical office building for Dignity Health.
Development of both projects is set to begin this summer. The $31.2 million medical office building is to be completed in 18 months. Construction of the new $22 million City Hall is expected to be completed in late summer 2016.
