West Sacramento bank ranks high in financial health for second straight year

For a second straight year, West Sacramento-based Community Business Bank cracked the top 10 in an annual ranking of the most financially healthy federally insured banks in the United States.

The local bank ranked sixth in DepositAccounts.com’s “Top 200 Healthiest Banks – 2015.” That’s up from a No. 8 ranking in 2014.

Community Business Bank was one of only 49 banks to be listed in the top 10 percent for a second straight year.

DepositAccounts, which tracks banks and credit unions nationwide, said its “health” rankings are based on an evaluation process that weighs multiple factors, including capitalization, deposit growth and loan-to-reserve ratios. The site said there are nearly 7,000 federally insured banks nationwide.

The bank, which has offices in West Sacramento and Lodi, said it increased overall deposits by $44.5 million, or 32 percent, in the one-year period ended March 31, 2015.
