Witherell’s summer auction includes items from Sutter Creek antique shop

A preview of an extensive collection of items being sold from the former Klima’s Antiques shop in Sutter Creek will be held Saturday at the warehouse of Sacramento-based auction house Witherell’s.

The preview will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1925 C St., across the street from the Witherell’s gallery in midtown.

The collection of antique shop owners Earl and Rae Klima is part of Witherell’s July online auction, which runs through Wednesday. The Klimas ran antique stores in both Northern California and Southern California for more than 40 years.

Items up for bids include collectibles, glass, Majolica earthenware pottery, chandeliers, Tiffany silver, jewelry, watches, advertising, coins, guns and old books. A separate, large collection of Civil War-related pieces also is on the block.
