Sacramento cybersecurity firm acquired by Massachusetts company

Waltham, Mass.-based online security firm CounterTack says it has acquired the Sacramento operations of ManTech Cyber Solutions International.

Purchase details were not disclosed. The deal comes on the heels of CounterTack’s recent $15 million round of Series C funding.

Officials said the Sacramento office of the cybersecurity firm with about 40 employees will remain in place.

CounterTack said ManTech will become an equity investor in CounterTack as well as a global distribution partner.
