Country Waffles in Sacramento’s University Village shopping center to close next week
The Country Waffles restaurant in the University Village shopping center at Howe Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard in Sacramento will close at the end of business next Monday.
Owner Frank Tofanelli said extensive renovations being done at the shopping complex “are very nice…but out of our price range in the end.”
He said nearly 20 employees will be moved to two other restaurants: FlapJacks Diner at 2721 El Camino Ave., in Sacramento and Country Waffles at 6986 Sunrise Blvd., in Citrus Heights.
