Two Yuba City banks post profits in second quarter

Two Yuba City-based banks rang up profits in this year’s second quarter.

River Valley Community Bank reported quarterly net income of $390,013, or 21 cents per share, up 40 percent from net income of $277,805, or 16 cents a share, in the year-ago period.

River Valley has branches in Yuba City and Grass Valley.

Bank of Feather River amassed net income of $191,000 in the second quarter ended June 30, a nearly 12 percent improvement over a profit of $171,000 in the same quarter of 2014. Year-to-date profits totaled $387,000.
