Anheuser-Busch plans to close its Fairfield plant in early 2026, part of a sweep of divestments nationwide by the Belgium-based beverage maker, the company confirmed in a statement Thursday.

The company will also sell a facility in Newark, New Jersey, and close a facility in Merrimack, New Hampshire, the statement said.

The three facilities employ 475 people altogether. A spokesperson did not immediately respond to questions about how many are employed at the Fairfield site alone.

The three facilities’ production will move to other A-B sites within the U.S. All employees will be offered full-time positions at other locations, the company said.
