An indoor playground and flower shop? See new businesses in Rancho Cordova
Several new local businesses have arrived to Rancho Cordova as the city continues to expand its economic community with more local and regional establishments.
A new floral designer, indoor playground complex, fresh food restaurant and an incoming veterinary hospital are opening, according to the city’s monthly business round up.
Here’s what to know:
Angela’s Floral Design
Angela’s Floral Design presents a colorful collection of flower bouquets. From roses to tulips, this floral store was once an independent operation and purchased its storefront in January, according to the business’s Instagram page.
Angela’s Floral Designs sells box arrangements, handheld bouquets, vase arrangements and other romantic gifts like chocolates and teddy bears, according to its website.
The store is rolling out its seasonal collection which includes spring petals, spring tulips, roses in a heart shape book, mini roses and bouquets filled with as many as 100 roses.
Angela’s Floral Design is open from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the weekends. It is located at 2310 Sunrise Blvd.
Kids Empire
Kids Empire is an extensive indoor playground franchise that describes itself as the place to “craft the ultimate birthday party.” It features an array of climbing, spinning and building structures for children of all ages.
Kids Empire is open to booking for field trips and children’s parties, its website said. A $150 deposit is mandatory after booking a birthday party, as well as a waiver for every guest.
Tickets for children ages 1 to 17 range from $17.90 to $24.90, while adults are given two free tickets per child. Infants can visit Kids Empire for free — if they are accompanied by an older sibling.
Kids Empire is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday. It is located at 10309 Folsom Blvd.
Farm Plates
Farm Plates offers fresh, nutritional cuisine from a double marinated grilled chicken to a variety of salad bowls.
Owner Rajbir Randhawa touted that Farm Plates’ chicken has no antibiotics, no additives and no preservatives. Each dish has, mostly, fresh and organic ingredients, she said. Farm Plates also serves rice bowls, soups and fresh lemonade.
“Our mushrooms come from farms. Our leeks come from farms,” Randhawa said. “So we try to connect with for farmers directly and get from them.”
The new restaurant said on its website, “Our culinary approach is grounded in Ayurveda.” It said food is a “divine offering to the body.”
Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine tracing back 3,000 years in India, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine. It uses nutrition, lifestyle changes and natural treatments to address illnesses.
“In a world cluttered with processed ingredients and empty calories, we have chosen a different path,” Farm Plates said on its website. “We return to what nourishes. We return to what heals.”
Farm Plates is open from 10 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday through Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays. It is located at 3191 Zinfandel Drive.
Livewell Animal Hospital
Rancho Cordova is getting a new hospital, which will open in late fall, according to the business’s social media. Livewell Animal Hospital will break ground at 4011 Sunrise Blvd.
Livewell Animal Hospital specializes in giving the region’s pets preventative medication, personalized care plans and “extra snuggles,” according to its website. The hospital will offer services including testing and wellness exams, spay and neuter, dental care, diagnostic program, advanced care, a surgical unit and an urgent care.
“Our staff treats you like family and each pet like our own. We are honored and proud to be a partner in your pet’s health care team,” Livewell’s owners wrote on their website. “As pet owners ourselves, we believe that preventative care with wellness exams are the keys to your pet living a longer, healthier, and happier life.”
Currently, there is a Livewell Animal Hospital in Roseville at 4180 Thrive Drive, making the Rancho Cordova the second location in the Sacramento region.
The animal hospital will be open 24 hours, according to its Yelp page.
