Permanent closure for boxing gym inside Rocklin shopping center

A fitness gym in Rocklin has permanently closed its Rocklin Crossings shopping center location.

The notice about Rumble Boxing’s closure was posted on its social media page. The gym had operated at 5418 Crossings Drive for three years.

Rumble is a national gym franchise, according to its website. The chain began in New York in 2017 and focused on group boxing classes and resistance training sessions, spanning difficulty levels from amateur to professional.

Rumble in Rocklin also offered kickboxing classes, strength training sessions and exhibition matches.

Rumble Boxing’s marketing department did not respond to an emailed request for comment and calls to the local gym went to voicemail

There are no other Rumble Boxing studios in the Sacramento region. The nearest one is in San Ramon.

The Rocklin Crossings location spans 523,161 square feet and is across Sierra College Boulevard and Interstate 80, according to the lease documents.

That shopping area is home to a variety of big-name businesses, including Bass Pro Shops, Walmart Supercenter, TJ Maxx, PetSmart, Green Acres Nursery and HomeGoods. The developers of Rocklin Crossings, Pappas Investments, consider the center “one of the largest new development retail projects in Placer County and the entire Sacramento Region.”

Rocklin Crossings is a neighbor to Rocklin Commons. The two shopping centers are deemed “major retail and dining areas” in Placer County, according to Placer Tourism.
