DSW shoe retailer moves into new location in Citrus Heights
National shoe retailer Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW) has opened a new location in Citrus Heights, replacing a major footwear store in the area.
Shoppers can visit DSW at 6100 Birdcage Centre Ln. in the Marketplace at Birdcage shopping center, across from Sunrise Mall.
The store replaces Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse, which closed at Marketplace in January, according to online reports. The store occupies 18,168 square feet in the shopping plaza.
Designer Shoe Warehouse is a part of Designer Brands and has almost 500 locations across the United States and Canada, according to its website. Designer Brands manages its shoe operations out of Canada. The store sells a variety of shoes including those from its own collection and higher-end name brands such as Vince Camuto, Puma, Topo Athletic and Lucky Brand.
The store chain is the largest footwear retailer in North America, according to its website. The Citrus Heights location neighbors Flawless Fix and Bath and Bodyworks.
Marketplace at Birdcage is home to several other popular national chains. The shopping center is anchored by Walmart, Old Navy, Michaels, Barnes & Noble, Ulta Beauty and Best Buy, according to Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis, which oversees property management.
The shopping center is a part of the Sunrise Marketplace, which is a 10-block corridor with more than 500 businesses.
This Designer Shoe Warehouse will be the fourth of its kind in the Sacramento area. Other locations are at:
- 1901 Arden Way in Arden Fair
- 2395 Iron Point Road in Folsom
- 1021 Galleria Boulevard in Roseville
The Citrus Heights Designer Shoe Warehouse location is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays, according to its website.
