New York employee benefit plans firm acquires Sacramento companies

Rochester, N.Y.-based Benefit Resource Inc., which administers pre-tax employee benefit plans for more than 2,200 employer plans nationwide, says it has acquired two Sacramento companies.

The New York firm did not disclose financial details of its purchase of Pacific Benefits Consultants Inc. and COBRA Plus Administrators Inc., which share a common address at 3090 Fite Circle.

Benefit Resource said it wanted a West Coast presence and said it “plans to maintain the Sacramento office with a focus on client services and COBRA (health plans) administration.”
