New president, CEO named for Sutter Independent Physicians
Dr. David Herbert has been appointed president and CEO of Sutter Independent Physicians, effective Nov. 16.
Herbert, with 40 years of medical experience, is chief of infectious diseases and director of critical care at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group, Sacramento. He also served as president of the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society from January 2012 through January 2014.
Herbert replaces Dr. Ralph Koldinger, who has served as president and CEO of SIP since 1994.
