Junk removal, hauling franchise geared to veterans opening in Roseville

A Pennsylvania-based junk-removal and -hauling company that sells franchises exclusively to military veterans and their families will open its first California office Friday in Roseville.

The Roseville office of JDog Junk Removal & Hauling at 6740 Copper Glen Circle is owned and operated by U.S. Marine Corps veteran Russell Schermerhorn, who also has served as a deputy sheriff in San Mateo and Placer County counties.

Schermerhorn hopes to partner with the local Veterans Affairs’ rehab program to provide more U.S. military veterans with job opportunities.
