Temecula-based Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center has added the Sterling Hotel in downtown Sacramento to its portfolio of venues for weddings and other special events.

Wedgewood, a chain of wedding and banquet coordinators, handles events through agreements with operators of 25 venues in California, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado. The Sterling, built in 1894 at 1300 H St., has 16 rooms and a 200-guest ballroom.

Along with the Victorian-style Sterling, Wedgewood also announced the addition of David Girard Vineyards in Placerville to its wedding venue portfolio.

“With 30 years of wedding planning expertise, top local vendors and a ‘stress-free guarantee,’ we’re proud to offer affordable wedding packages at these two gorgeous properties,” said marketing director Julia Henning in a statement.

Wedgewood also manages another Placerville venue, the Wedgewood Sequoia Mansion.
