Granite Bay facility will provide memory care for seniors
Construction has begun on CountryHouse Residence, a Granite Bay center that will specialize in providing care for seniors with memory-loss issues.
Officials said the $14 million construction project at Douglas Boulevard and Barton Road is the first commercial project in Granite Bay since 2007.
The 32,400-square-foot, 42-unit property is being developed by Agemark Corp. of Orinda and Maverick Partners West of Roseville. Wells Construction, which has a Roseville office, is the general contractor.
CountryHouse is designed to look like a family home. Staff will provide care for people with various forms of memory loss or dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease. The facility is projected to open in fall of 2016.
Agemark Corp. will operate CountryHouse, which will employ about 50 people.
