Sacramentan Avdis appointed director of GO-Biz
Panorea Avdis, of Sacramento, has been appointed director of the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, or GO-Biz.
Avdis, 37, has served as chief deputy director since 2012.
She was chief of staff for Sacramento County Supervisor Phil Serna from 2010 to 2012; director of external affairs at the California Department of Housing and Community Development from 2007 to 2010; and a project manager at AKT Development Corp. from 2004 to 2007. She also served in several posts in the administration of former Gov. Gray Davis.
GO-Biz also announced that Will Koch, 39, of Mather, has been appointed its chief deputy director.
