Walmart opens Sacramento store on Gerber Road

Walmart on Wednesday will formally open its new Sacramento store.

Ribbon-cutting ceremonies are scheduled for 7:30 a.m. at the 132,000-square-foot Walmart Supercenter at 8915 Gerber Road.

The new store will employ about 300 part- and full-time workers. The store manager is Silvio Garbarino.

Daily store hours are 6 a.m. to midnight.

The store will stock a wide range of general merchandise as well as groceries, meat and produce.
