Sacramento Kia dealership closes; new dealership expected to move into site

The Sacramento Kia dealership at 2820 Fulton Ave. closed its doors this week.

Dealership operator California Superstores in Roseville declined to comment on the closure.

Mike Luca, vice president with the Sacramento office of commercial real estate services firm CBRE, said Thursday that he is in talks to move a new dealership into the site in the near future. That dealer will sell vehicles of another foreign automaker, but Luca said he could not elaborate further.

The Fulton Avenue location was the longtime home of Mel Rapton Honda, which moved into a new facility along the Capital City Freeway in early 2009.
