Bui-Thompson elected 2016 president of SMUD board
Nancy Bui-Thompson has been elected president of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District board of directors for calendar 2016.
Bui-Thompson previously served as the board’s president in 2012 and served as vice president in 2011 and 2015.
She was elected to the SMUD board in November 2008 to represent Ward 2, which includes Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Gold River, Rancho Murieta, Galt, Wilton and a part of Elk Grove.
Bui-Thompson has an extensive background as a technology and management professional, working with state and local government agencies as well as large energy and health care organizations.
