Broadcast veteran McClure named president of iHeartMedia Sacramento
Broadcast industry veteran Sara McClure has been named president of iHeartMedia’s Sacramento market.
The San Antonio-based mass media company’s local market includes KHYL V101.1 FM, KFBK News Radio 1530 AM and 93.1 FM, Talk 650 KSTE, 93.7 Jack FM and B92.5 FM.
McClure’s succeeds John Geary, who briefly came out of retirement to serve as interim president of iHeartMedia Sacramento.
McClure began her career at a San Francisco advertising agency but subsequently returned to her hometown of Sacramento to work in broadcasting, first with Sinclair Television and CBS Radio, followed by 15 years at Entercom. McClure joined iHeartMedia Sacramento in 2013, serving most recently as a senior vice president.
