Sacramento’s Golden 1 opens college scholarship applications
Sacramento-based Golden 1 Credit Union has opened the application period for its 2015 college scholarship program, offered to its 600,000 members and their dependents.
The Golden 1 Credit Union Scholarship provides awards in three amounts: $1,000 to full-time students who plan to attend an accredited, nonprofit, two-year college in California; and $2,500 or $5,000 to full-time students who plan to attend an accredited, nonprofit, four-year California college or university. Applications will be accepted through Jan. 15.
Golden 1 said it will award 33 scholarships valued at $386,000 in 2015. Applications can be submitted online at golden1.com/scholarships.
