Life Time Fitness Inc., a Minnesota-based operator of 113 fitness megacenters in the United States and Canada, is planning to open a 307,000-square-foot center in Roseville this summer.
A “preview center” will open to the public at 8 a.m. Monday at the construction site, 1435 E. Roseville Parkway, according to Jessica Dumont, a local spokeswoman for Life Time. The facility, to be called the Life Time Athletic center, will be built just east of the Highway 65-Interstate 80 split.
Life Time’s announcement included a statement from Roseville Mayor Carol Garcia: “We are very pleased that Life Time Athletic chose Roseville for its first location in Northern California. We are excited to welcome Life Time Athletic to the community and look forward to their opening later this year.”
The two-story center will include a tennis complex with 10 hard-surface and four clay outdoor courts, an indoor/outdoor aquatics center, group exercise programs and studios, an outdoor bistro with beer and wine service, an extensive workout area with more than 400 weight and cardio exercise equipment, two full-size indoor basketball courts, two multi-service spas and a cafe.
