Ritz-Carlton in Truckee awarded highest AAA award for lodgings

The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Truckee is one of three Northern California hotels to receive AAA’s rare Five Diamond Award for 2016.

The Truckee hotel was joined by the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco and Château du Sureau in Oakhurst as the region’s only Five Diamond winners.

AAA’s highest award for lodgings recognizes ultraluxurious facilities, exceptional staff performance and top-tier on-site services.

AAA inspectors visit more than 58,000 hotels and restaurants annually.
