Sacramento region tax help program kicks off with Saturday event
Individuals and families needing help with income tax return preparation can attend the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Capital Region Kick-Off event Saturday at Grant Union High School in Sacramento.
The event offering free tax-preparation help to eligible attendees is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1400 Grand Ave., and organizers said an appointment is required.

The event is co-sponsored by the Sacramento Coalition for Working Families and United Way.
