Raley’s seeking peanut butter donations for food banks

West Sacramento-based Raley’s on Wednesday kicked off a two-week campaign to stock regional food pantries with peanut butter.

The grocer calls the effort “Spread the Love.”

Through Feb. 17, shoppers at Raley’s, Bel Air Market or Nob Hill stores can donate a jar of peanut or other nut butters to help needy families throughout the region. Raley’s has partnered with iHeartMedia to increase supplies of the protein-rich pantry staple.

Donations can also be made at foodforfamilies.org.
