Wide outage causes some loss of services for Comcast customers

Comcast Corp. confirmed a wide U.S. outage Monday and said it was working to restore the network.

An outage map on showed people in most Comcast markets reporting some form of outage, though mostly not a complete loss of TV, phone and Internet services.

The website also showed Sacramento problems in the last 24 hours. An outage map showed 369 reports of outages at a peak between 7 and 9 a.m.

"We're continuing to investigate what appears to be a temporary network interruption that impacted some of our services this morning," said spokeswoman Jennifer Moyer. "Our engineers have been working on this, and services are starting to be restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers."
