Sacramento-area gas prices keep falling, down to an average $2.13 a gallon

Falling Sacramento-area gasoline prices are edging ever closer to the $2-a-gallon threshold.

On Tuesday, national fuel price tracker GasBuddy.com said the average retail price of gas in the area dipped another 7.6 cents over the past week to $2.13 a gallon. That’s 40.4 cents lower than one month ago and nearly 52 cents below the year-ago average.

GasBuddy’s website shows numerous service stations in the Sacramento area posting prices of less than $2 a gallon for unleaded regular.
