2 Sacramento airport restaurants can reopen after reinspection
Two restaurants at Sacramento International Airport have been cleared to reopen following a temporary closure after cockroaches were noticed during a routine inspection.
Inspectors on Wednesday noticed the insects in a kitchen serving Jack’s Urban Eats and Dos Coyotes. The two restaurants were closed and a red placard from the Sacramento County Environmental Management Department was posted.
A pest control company was called in Wednesday night and after a reinspection by the county Thursday, they were given a green placard, allowing them to reopen, said Kelly McCoy, a county spokeswoman. Although inspectors authorized the restaurants to reopen Thursday afternoon, McCoy said the operators might choose to remain closed the rest of the day.
